West Coast Road Trip Day Eleven: Leaving Seattle and Back to Boise, Idaho

Day Eleven – June 6th, 2021 11:47 PM Mountain Time

We drove back to Boise, Idaho from Sea-Tac, Washington and stayed at the Grove Hotel again. I love this city and would love to spend more time checking out the outdoor recreation. There is the Greenbelt, Shoshone Falls, Sawtooth Mountain Range, and Snake River all nearby.

Once checked in, we ate at Pie Hole again. I ordered two slices of vegan pizza and got a Moondog Amber Ale. I believe it was a micro-brew. Alex and I went into Fantastic Games and each bought a pack of Pokemon cards (to support local business). After, we both got vegan ice cream at Stella’s Ice Cream. They had a multitude of flavors and I ordered the cookies and cream.

Tom, Alex, and I then went back to Parilla’s in Hyde Park to drink and eat. The U.S Men’s Soccer Team was on playing Mexico and the atmosphere was fun. I had three rounds of Dewars Scotch for $5 each. It was more of a shot, but they made me feel good. I also had chips and salsa shared with Tom and Alex.

Later on I built a burrito filled with lime rice, black beans, panko crusted tofu, and hot salsa…which was very hot. After that fun, I and the boys made it back to the Grove. I am not sure where we will end up staying tomorrow night, but hopefully somewhere half-decent.

I enjoy the long drives with good company. Only a couple more days until I end up back home with my dog and looking for houses.
